in Santa Cruz County. For a link to the report, click

WATER REPORT
As is the situation in much of the American west, water is a critical
issue in Santa Cruz County. Though blessed with plentiful rainfall
in the Santa Cruz Mountains, the major water purveyors in the County
are stressed to provide adequate water supplies without depleting
the groundwater aquifers and stream sources. LAFCO has compiled supply
and demand information from all major water suppliers, and has summarized
the current and projected water situation in its 2001 Water Report.
